The day started pretty early today. I woke up at 4 am and reached WWF India office by 5.45 am, a bit early. Blame my excitement.
At the entry gate. Lights are still on. 6 am. Awaiting for registration.
With each passing minute the number of participants grew to a big gathering.
It was a display of brand, type and accessories. Road bikes, Hybrid ones, MTBs, City bikes – all were there. Btwin, Trek, Montra, La Sovereign, Cannondale, Firefox, Hercules, Hero – you name it. No doubt cyclist wear the most slick items.
Setting the tempo, WWF champs pouring energy through their words.
And the ambassador – Neil Nitin Mukesh has finally arrived, few mins late than original schedule with officials of WWF and sponsor-er Canara Bank-HSBC.
The 8 km cyclothon around Lodhi Garden. Two laps – 4 km each. Clean Delhi roads, less polluted morning air.
It was a pleasant ride. It was fun.
Half-an hour and the cyclothon came to an end. It was time to park the bikes and grab some refreshments.
